C# Full Stack Software Engineer

This role is a Full-Time position in our Engineering Team.

Brisbane CBD Based

State, or interstate travel will be required.

Primary Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Solution Engineer role is to work hand-in-glove with the CTO to plan, design, build, test, deploy and operate Obzervr software products. We are looking for a professional who can plan, direct, coordinate and be hands-on all engineering operations.

You will be responsible for planning, designing, building, testing, deploying, operating and improving Obzervr software. You will work alongside a team of engineering, service delivery and support.

Education and Qualifications required for this position

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Engineering experience with Web, Mobile, Cloud, SaaS
• Agile experience is a plus

A day in the life of an Obzervr Software Engineer

• Attend and feedback in the Engineering stand-up, decide as a team what to work on next.
• Write Unit and Integration tests to test your code.
• Write understandable, testable, and secure code.
• Solve complex problems with a high degree of autonomy and quality, but you help and support others to do the same.
• Design features and estimate the effort to complete short-term coding tasks.

Experience & Skills required for this position

• Able to learn new languages, components and platforms without fear but instead utter joy to be granted the pleasure of such a challenge
• Able to break down large, complex problems into manageable action plans (I.e. knows how to eat an elephant)
• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, information retrieval, and security.
• Can demonstrate these skills
  Good business acumen, and an understanding of Mining, Oil & gas practices and processes is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, intercultural, written, verbal & presentation skills. The ability to be clear in written documents, Slack, and emails is critical.
• Ability to work in fast paced highly agile work environment with competing priorities.

Remuneration Package for this position

• X base + Superannuation based on past skills and experience
• Annual Salary review
• Incentives depending on company, team and individual performance
